Formed in 2017, Let It Rot is a Michigan deathcore act with an ever-evolving metalcore aftertaste. Starting as a studio project by front man Brandon Hartman, Let It Rot has
become a passion and a ritual, creating a stir in south central Michigan and beyond. Since its inception, the band has wasted no time progressing through the ranks of the Michigan
metal scene with their pleasantly raucous yet captivating sound, and a live show that is giving them a legendary reputation amongst their peers. So much so that they landed a spot on the 2019 Michigan stop of The Summer Slaughter Tour, 2020’s Michigan Metal Fest (canceled), and have shared the stage with national acts like For The
Fallen Dreams and Of Virtue.
Let It Rot is known for in-the-moment songwriting, as Hartman puts it, “to just write what comes out.” Although favoring the realms of heavy, Let It Rot has never pegged themselves to a specific genre, simply “writing away, and letting what happens, happen.” They are always open to new ideas and new sounds to explore, which allows them to grow and evolve as a group, friends, family, and musicians. With their explosive debut EP, “The End of Humanity,” and its lead single, “Order of The
Black Worm,” Let It Rot found the track landed on four official Spotify editorial playlists in the first week of its release, amassing over 200,000 streams on Spotify. A follow-up self-titled full-length album in 2022, featuring standout tracks like “Lake of Fire,” “Malaise Fervor,” and “Pesticide,” scored an exclusive premiere on thehighly influential heavy music news platform, Metal Injection.
With a noted lineup change, consisting of an entirely new strings section, Let It Rot takes on a fresh mindset, with a new perspective and the determination to charge headfirst into the next level of their musical journey. The boys are not missing a beat while preparing and recording their next EP follow-up to their surprisingly successful debut effort. Let It Rot are sinking their teeth in for the whirlwind that is ahead of them, with aspirations and plans to take their show across the country, and one day overseas.
