BYSTANDER is an American heavy metal band based out of the USA. Blending more technical styles of death metal riffs with groove inspired deathcore breakdowns, BYSTANDER brings forth a crushing sound reminiscent of the golden era of heavy metalcore & “djent,” appealing to fans of Whitechapel, Meshuggah, Thy Art Is Murder, Volumes, Born Of Osiris, After the Burial & more.
Formed under the name Sisyphean Conscience in 2010 by childhood friends, including brothers Garrett and Austin Haag, alongside Blaine Brun and Taylor Gorman. In 2015, guitarist John Dormier joined, sparking a sonic evolution that led to the birth of BYSTANDER. With a renewed focus, BYSTANDER is poised to unleash their extreme metal prowess worldwide.
The band prides themselves on their live performances, and seeks to bring their heavy madness to the masses like they have in the past with bands such as Born Of Osiris, I Declare War, and Reaping Asmodeia. With three records under their belt they have modeled their massive sound and plan on bringing the same pain and fury to their upcoming music.
