Since emerging from the Cleveland underground in 2011, Inoculation has evolved into one of the most distinctive voices in modern extreme metal. Specializing in what they’ve termed “Cosmic Death Metal,” the band bypasses traditional genre tropes to explore the terrifying intersections of ancient aliens and sci-fi horror.
Consisting of Anthony Allen (vocals/guitar), Nick Nedley (bass), and Charlie Winters (drums), the trio is known for a “best of both worlds” approach: the raw, cavernous filth of old-school death metal paired with the surgical technicality of the modern era. After a string of cult-favorite releases, including 2018’s Pure Cosmic Dread and 2021’s Celestial Putridity, the band joined the Maggot Stomp roster, solidifying their place at the forefront of the new wave of American death metal. With their 2025 LP Actuality, Inoculation proves that the deepest reaches of space are just as heavy as the earth below.
